June 23rd at Kachele Farm: Trusting Jesus as We Step Into Community in Zambia

Settling Into Our New Surroundings at Kachele Farm in Zambia

On June 23rd 2025, twelve of us settled into our new surroundings at Kachele Farm in Zambia, taking in the beautiful weather and witnessing the incredible work Hands at Work Africa is doing for the local community.

What encouraged us most, though, was getting to know the friendly people who lived there, both men and women from many different countries who had planted themselves in Zambia and devoted their lives to being the hands and feet of Jesus through their service at Hands at Work Africa.

Before our first full day in community with the children at Mount Moriah, we felt both excited and nervous, unsure of what the day would hold but trusting God’s leading in this part of our mission in Africa.

We reached out to our community and were praying for God to give us:

🤍 Resilience ; that as we encountered the community and the hardships they faced, we would keep our eyes on Jesus and what He was doing, instead of feeling overwhelmed or believing we needed to fix every situation ourselves.

🤍 Health and strength for our whole team as we entered one of the most important stages of the trip.

🤍 Openness and courage to step out of our comfort zones, build genuine relationships, and fully embrace everything God had for us in this community. Watch our Kingdom Culture documentary here to experience our journey visiting and serving Hands at Work Africa, who partner with local African and international churches to care for vulnerable children, widows, and the dying.
